Great White Fleet 1908

"Battle Ships at Night in San Francisco Bay, Cal."

Note the buildings under construction as part the effort to repair and replace damage done by the earthquake and fire in 1906.  The electric lighting portrayed in this postcard was very new.  Electric lighting would also be well represented in postcards of Portolá [Portola] Festival the following year.
